Touchstone Gives Back: Sensory Kit Drive

Through the Touchstone Gives Back Initiative, Touchstone was proud to support students across the Litchfield Elementary School District with a Sensory Drive that created and distributed 50 sensory kits, along with additional sensory‑friendly resources for every campus.

This initiative was made possible largely through donations from Touchstone Health Services as part of its commitment to giving back to the community. Additional private donations were generously provided by Hope Leedom Wims, Lydia Cossio, Erica Chavez, Macio Urmanita, Zona Arugay, Kaela and their family. A big thank you to each of them for their generosity and support.

The project was powered by youth leadership and creativity. Teen Outreach Club participants from across the West Valley helped make sensory items, decorate kits, design posters, create social media campaigns, and assemble each kit with care. Every kit was also uniquely decorated by another youth in a TOP Club—truly reflecting youth supporting youth.

Each sensory kit includes a thoughtful blend of handmade items created by kids—such as glitter bottles, puzzles, squishies, yarn dolls, coping skills coloring books, and sensory books—along with store‑bought sensory tools donated by Touchstone and community members, including fidgets, stress relievers, pencil grips, ear plugs, and therapeutic putty.

In addition to the kits, each school site received shared sensory resources including sensory tents, weighted sequin blankets, visual timers, wobble seats, sensory maze games, chair bands, ear protection, and white noise machines—supporting calmer, more inclusive learning environments across campuses.

Litchfield Elementary School District expressed heartfelt gratitude for the donations, with some staff sharing that receiving the supplies “felt like Christmas.” This initiative highlights the impact of community collaboration and Touchstone’s dedication to student well‑being throughout the Valley.
